This week has to go to none other than Ricky Lambert, who made the astonishing move from central player at Southampton, to bench warmer at Liverpool for a share of about £4m

Ricky said of his transfer : ""I can't believe it. I've loved this club all my life. I left here 17 years ago - and I haven't stopped loving it since. "I have always dreamt of playing for Liverpool, but I did kind of think the chance of playing for them had gone."

I wonder if Brendan has told him that he is third in the pecking order and is only likely to appear in the early rounds of the league cup, and premiership games that Liverpool expect to win anyway, welcome to the Liverpool bench Ricky, a dream come true eh
