      Punishments altered

UEFA have informed Man City and PSG that part of the punishment they received for breaking FFP rules have been altered, both teams were to have their squads limited to 21, with the standard rule of 8 players having to be classed as home grown, FIFApro have stepped in and said that is unfair and the amount of home grown players required should also be reduced in proportion to the squad reductions, UEFA have agreed so now both team will only have to name five home grown players each.

The rest of the punishments remain as they were

Hmm...interesting that the punishments have been changed. Maybe I'm just being silly, but do you think you could maybe explain why they've been changed like this GDubyah?

I wonder if these alterations will apply to all teams in the future, or if it's just this once.

I think the punishments dished out to clubs will depend on how far they go in breaking the rules, City and PSG blatantly ignored the warnings, thinking IMO that UEFA wouldn't take action, the only way FFP can work is if UEFA punish all clubs that break the rules, and so far they have done that, and doing it to the likes of PSG and City show that no-one is immune from investigation.

one of the worst things you can do is match fixing. i think clubs need to be relegated to second or third division if they pull that stunt. although in the EPL i think that is not a problem. Serie A in Italian soccer, different story.

Juventus got relegated a bunch of years ago. Here in Portugal another club also did.
Did Manchester City and PSG got caught in some funky practices? I did not know any of this...
Sadly, there's A LOT more match fixing than what we know. That's why I kind of fell out of love with the sport...

The FA have always had the stance that the English game is free from fixing, they had to alter that last season, when a couple of players from lower leagues succumbed to bribes to fix matches. It's unlikely to happen to the top clubs in the Premier League because of the stupid money the players are on, imagine having to offer Rooney over £350k to throw a game, pointless really. Then those players that you would think are worth bribing are playing for clubs that more often lose, it's only profitable if you can get a top team to lose against unfancied opposition.
