UEFA change yellow card totting up rule

UEFA have announced today that from this seasons, and players who have had yellow cards awarded in the group stages will have the slate wiped clean after the quarter final stage.

This will mean that a player who accumulates a second yellow in the tournament during the semi-finals will not be banned from playing in the final.
In recent years the rule has come under a lot scrutiny, even going back as far as 1999, it was this rule that caused Roy Keane & Paul Scholes to miss the Final that season, in 2008 Darren Fletcher fell to the same fate.

Last season a player cautioned for "over celebrating" missed the final.

Common sense has at last prevailed with UEFA, lets hoe this is the first of many changes thanks to common sense.

I just hope everybody is aware this belongs to CFC and I'm not talking about the yellow card.
